Refresher Program for Generic Induction to Coal Mining Core and Underground Elective

The purpose of this generic induction training program is to refresh the coal mine workers’ knowledge of, and demonstrate current competence in, the Acts and Regulations, accepted practices, and safety procedures that are employed in surface and underground coal mining sites in Queensland.

Participants who successfully complete this training program will receive a Statement of Attainment for two units of competency in partial completion of MNC20107 Certificate II in Surface Coal Operations. Participants will also receive a Certificate of Completion and a Generic Induction Passport.

The Mining Industry Skills Centre issues a Generic Induction Passport which will be valid for 2 years.
